On November 13, 2008, Rebuilding Together will celebrate another record year of service to Summit County low-income elderly and disabled homeowners at a banquet at St. George's Fellowship Center. During its 2007-2008 program year, RT provided 275 units of service to 198 unique homeowners thanks to the support and hard work of so many volunteers, donors, and partner agencies throughout Summit County.
We invite you to join us for this year's celebration and come find out what makes Rebuilding Together so special. TICKET'S ARE FREE!

On October 4, 2008, Rebuilding Together will be joining with the Professional Association of Comfort Contractors, the Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors Association, and northeast Ohio electricians to conduct "Renew the Town, Akron 2008."
On that day, hundreds of volunteer technicians, ride-alongs, dispatchers, and more will be convening at Wolff Brothers Supply on Kelly Avenue early in the morning. After registering, volunteers will be fanning out across Summit County to provide free furnace checks, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Over the past three years, more than 250 homeowners have been served by this program.
In many cases, volunteers encounter life threatening issues with furnaces or soil stacks that put the homeowner in danger. Without their intervention, serious illness of injury could occur.
The program, now in its fourth year, is supported and funded in part by Dominion East Ohio, the City of Akron, the City of Green, The County of Summit - Russell M. Pry, Executive, and Akron Community Foundation.
